Boomtown Wiki is a new collaborative encyclopedia about Boomtown, a critically acclaimed police drama created by Graham Yost.
Boomtown (overview)[]
In life there is always more than one side to every story, and so it was in Boomtown. Each episode featured a criminal investigation set in Los Angeles, seen from the different viewpoints involved in the story: the police, lawyers, paramedics, journalists, suspects and witnesses. These overlapping vignettes all fitted together to reveal the full story at the end. As the series progressed, we also learned more about the main characters.
There was Joel (played by Donnie Wahlberg), a detective hiding a family secret and his partner Fearless (Mykelti Williamson), a former soldier with plenty of stories to tell.
There was Teresa (Lana Parrilla), an ambulance officer driven to save lives after a personal tragedy.
There was David (Neal McDonough), the scheming politician with a self-destructive streak, and his mistress Andrea (Nina Garbiras), a reporter with her own troubled past.
There was Ray (Gary Basaraba), a seasoned cop battling corruption allegations and his partner Tom (Jason Gedrick), trying to forge his own career in the footsteps of his legendary father.
A varied assortment of characters whose lives intersected every week on the streets of Boomtown.
